We are the School of Hardcorps.
HardCorps is the Pep Band of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Named "Best College Pep Band in the Nation" by The Sporting News magazine, HardCorps pushes the envelope as both a high quality musical ensemble and as hell-raisers in the stands at JSU basketball games.

The ever-changing identity of the band (from soulful and psychedelic 60s, to Studio 54-era 70s, to a study in 80s excess) is also portrayed in the style and choreography of the sultry HardCorps GoGos, a dance line that is quite unique in the world of college athletics. These musical chameleons take the business of entertainment to new highs, and are in-demand at tournaments and special events throughout the Southeast and the Ohio Valley Conference.

Auditioning for Hardcorps

HARDCORPS CIRCA 2003 A.D.
Each August, auditions are held for PepBand instrumentalists and the GoGo Dancers. Instrumentalists are selected based on performance ability and outgoing personality. Every member of the PepBand is expeceted to be rowdy, outspoken, and offensively energetic. The band is composed of saxes, trumpets, trombones, Conn 20-J tubas, and a rhythm section.

Like the band, the GoGo's are chosen based on technical dancing abilities and personality. Ladies interested in auditioning for GoGo's are taught a dance and perform it in front of a panel of judges. This group is NOT for the timid. Only the most insane personalities should apply!
